Dr. Christopher Bounds is an associate professor of Sociology, specializing in Criminology, at the University of Montevallo, joining the faculty in 2016.
Dr. Bounds’ research focuses upon desistance from crime and substance use. His research projects have included an examination of racial and gender differences in patterns of desistance and continuity across the life course. Dr. Bounds has presented his research at national and regional conferences such as American Society of Criminology, Southern Criminal Justice Society, Mid-South Sociological Association, and Southern Sociological Society.
