Secondary Education
The Secondary Education Program is for those who wish to teach at the middle and high school level (grades 6-12). Completion of the program leads to Class A certification in the state of Alabama (a requirement for teaching in public schools) and a bachelor’s degree. In addition to a wide range of coursework and other program activities, teacher candidates complete a full-time (16 weeks) internship in a public school during their senior year.
