The University of Montevallo offers scholarships for Communication Studies majors. A special application must be completed to apply for the following scholarships by the March 1st deadline.

Wales Wallace Communication Studies Endowment | Junior or senior majoring in Communication Studies. Full-time student. Minimum 2.5 GPA overall with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Communication classes. Must be actively involved in the Communication Studies program. Must show evidence of creativity, skill, and dedication to the field of Communication Studies. Financial need. Dean of Fine Arts Scholarship | Amount varies. Rebecca J. Luker Endowed Scholarship | Review criteria for the Rebecca J. Lynsey Weatherspoon Endowed Scholarship | The Lynsey Weatherspoon Endowed Scholarship will be awarded annually to qualified students at the University of Montevallo. Recipient(s) must have applied and been accepted to the University of Montevallo; must have a demonstrated financial need for scholarship support; must be in good standing with the University; and must be majoring in Mass Communication, Communication Studies, or Photography. Preference given to Birmingham City School Student. If a Birmingham City School Student is not available, preference should be awarded to a Jefferson County School student.
