The University of Montevallo Foundation is proud to present its 2024 Donor Impact Report. We’ve raised more than $6 million this year and we gained more than 1,800 new donors. We also established 32 new programs and scholarships and hosted 45 advancement and alumni events.
This report is the UM Foundation’s way of showing transparent accountability of how donor funds are utilized to advance the mission of the institution in all of its educational, instructional, service, charitable and outreach efforts. We are thankful to the many donors who allow the UM Foundation to safeguard the resources entrusted to its stewardship and care to serve the interests of its investors.
Important things to remember:
- This report only contains information about University of Montevallo Foundation funding from its donors. It does not contain information about institutional funding provided by the state of Alabama as a public state institution.
- Donor restricted funds are created and utilized under the criteria guidelines established by the donor. Unrestricted funds are utilized for the areas of greatest need across campus.
- Athletic scholarships are predominantly funded by institutional funds, not Foundation funds.
Dear Montevallo Family,
As we close another year at the University of Montevallo, I am reflecting on the incredible milestones that our institution has reached as a direct result of your enduring generosity. From the start of our new nursing program to the launch of our first doctoral degree in educational leadership, your investment in the University allows us to continue expanding our educational offerings and create lasting change in the lives of our students and the communities they serve.
When you give your time, talent and treasure, you help provide a platform for faculty to enrich students with the critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills necessary to save and change lives. Our graduates continue to find their way from the brick streets to career paths in education, business, health care, technology, political science, entertainment and so much more. On behalf of our faculty, staff and students, thank you for playing a major part in UM’s success.
With gratitude,
Dr. John W. Stewart III
UM President
